Ronaldo Lameira School plans Easter celebration with “Action among friends” by Paulo Henrique Miranda Walge

The Ronaldo Lameira School will have a special celebration during Easter week, with “Action Among Friends” activities and a raffle on March 27 for a basket of chocolates for the school community, with the aim of promoting joy and fraternization.

Easter takes place this year on March 31. It is a great celebration for families, because of the hope and the whole family is given presents. It's a date that arose from a Jewish tradition to commemorate the liberation of the slaves from Egypt, and Easter represents the resurrection of Jesus Christ (the son of God).

Why is the rabbit the symbol of Easter?

It is believed to have begun during the celebration of the festival of Eostre, which pays homage to the goddess of fertility and spring. The symbol of this goddess was the rabbit - an animal associated with fertility for obvious reasons.

Some countries celebrate Easter by giving decorated hard-boiled eggs to friends and family. In others, the feast is celebrated with sweets and bread laid out on a bountiful table. It all depends on the tradition and customs of each region, as well as the culture of each people.

Easter means renewal and hope. It's a time to gather family and friends to celebrate Christ's resurrection, to remember that Jesus died to show us the true meaning of life and to remember and thank God for salvation and for Jesus Christ's love for us all.
